Astoria il Puro Merlot
Astoria il Puro Merlot

Wine: Astoria il Puro Merlot

Vintage: 2013

Grape: Blend

Country: Italy

Region: Venezia, North Eastern Italy

Price: $6

Description: Very light, smooth and full of fruits. Strong strawberry and cherry flavors. This is a table wine, so the complexity is next to none. The bottle is also completely in Italian so I may or may not have no idea if the above information is correct.

From The Real American Dream

Lodolai Nuova Rosso di Montepulciano 2013
Lodolai Nuova Rosso di Montepulciano 2013

Grape: 85% Prugnolo Gentile, 10% Merlot e 5% Cabernet Sauvignon

Region: Pontassieve, Italy

Description: I drank this all in one sitting, I have no idea what it actually tastes like. It’s red. The bottle says it has “an intense, fruity bouquet and a well balanced, smooth and long-lingering taste.”

From An Opinion Piece on Why I’m Tired of Your Opinions

Collio Pinot Grigio, 2013
Collio Pinot Grigio, 2013

Wine: Collio Pinot Grigio

Vintage: 2013

Grape: Pinot Grigio

Region: Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy

Price: $15

Description: I hate white wine, but it’s hotter than a whore in church these days so I needed something cold that went well with cilantro-lime cream chicken. I’m not sure this wine was it, but it’s fermented. It’s light and crisp and hardly tastes like anything, so it’s great for people who have no wine pallet.
